Our Market Joins ALIAC Management Week with Prizes, Giveaways

Quite different from a typical day on Our Market’s ongoing tour, which often consists of a cooking demonstration and a sponsors’ fair with participating students from the culinary or entrepreneurship sectors, the two-day event was held at an aviation school with a much simpler approach.

Taking part in another exciting on-ground activation, Our Market once again brought people and brands together by joining ALIAC’s Management Week as one of its official sponsors. More than creating another source of buzz, it became an opportunity to personally meet visitors, introduce the platform, and give out widely-recognized products to share joy with the audience.

The product giveaways, consisting of wet dog food, luncheon meat, mineral and sparkling water, almond milk, and orange juice, quickly became one of the biggest crowd magnets. To Our Market’s advantage, this sparked conversations that made interested members from casual passersby.

While Our Market primarily operates as a digital platform, it keeps face-to-face engagement not only as a way to build trust and awareness, but also to reach out to different communities who may benefit from the platform’s services.

New sign-ups steadily grew during the event as guests joined the Our Market network on the spot, curious to continue exploring after the event concluded.

The ALIAC Management Week Celebration

ALIAC’s Management Week delivered a full schedule that kept energy levels high throughout the day: insightful discussions, interactive games, entertaining performances, and more.

Some of the event’s resource speakers included the Philippine Association of Researchers for Tourism and Hospitality President, Dr. Harold Bernardo Bueno; Cebu Pacific Air Human Resources, Mrs. Maricor Lucido; and Head Technical Committee, Mr. Robin Pasahol—all of which shared educational, practical, and motivational messages that could boost its students’ academic performance and influence their future career choices.

Impressive performances by the ALIAC Pep Squad and Wonderlust Project amplified the event even more. The game segment, called the Management Clash, was reminiscent of childhood games, featuring Tug of War, Buntot ng Dragon, Tamaang Tao, Patintero, and Karea ng Bao.

Of course, it would not be complete without a little competition, thus the Management Icon, Tour Guiding, and FA Showmanship, which had a board of judges with credible backgrounds in the aviation industry.

Our Market for Partnership Opportunities

Events like this allow Our Market to demonstrate its purpose tangibly. Instead of explaining the platform solely through online campaigns, attendees experienced the brand through real-life conversations, product sampling, and direct engagement with the team.

Many visitors were surprised to learn that Our Market supports both established businesses and small-scale merchants seeking digital exposure. Some discussions turned into inquiries about partnership opportunities and other future collaborations.

Though sponsorship isn’t mainly Our Market’s role in the OMG! Campus Tour, the platform put itself in a position where it’s seen not only as a digital magazine but also as an active contributor to social initiatives.

Up Next: OMG! Campus Tour @ National University Dasmariñas

After this sponsorship opportunity, Our Market will be back on track with the culinary demo + sponsors’ fair combo for its next campus tour destination: National University in Dasmariñas, Cavite, to be held on March 11, 2026.

For the first time in its campus tour campaign, Our Market’s workshop will feature desserts by veteran culinary instructor Chef Catherine “Cathy” Yu of the Philippine Society of Baking.

In huge contrast to the first two schools which catered to a more general audience, this event’s participants consisted of high school students aged 13-17. This was a shift in experience for Our Market which opened a room for a new kind of audience that may benefit from the publishing platform's services as well, now as students and soon as prospective entrepreneurs.

OMG! Campus Tour: Our Market at St. Paul College Pasig

The visit to St. Paul College Pasig (SPCP) came with one of the liveliest, most unexpected crowds, with wave after wave flocking to the booth to receive freebies and officially join the Our Market community.

A chocolate-making demonstration taking place at the same time drew even more foot traffic. With both the booth and workshop attracting attention, Our Market was able to gather approximately 700 new subscribers in a single day.

Build A Bar: The Art of Chocolate-Making

The highlight of the day was the hands-on chocolate workshop titled Build A Bar: The Art of Chocolate-Making. Attendees came from different tracks under the school’s G.I.F.T. Development Program, an initiative made to support and strengthen students’ skills in specialized fields. Those enrolled in Culinary Arts were particularly bewildered seeing a hands-on demonstration by Chef Christian Valdes, Founder and Head Chocolatier of one of the most premium chocolate brands in the country, CMV Txokolat.

Chef Christian began with a brief overview of chocolate history, roots traced back to ancient Mesoamerican civilizations to modern transformation into a global favorite. He explained how cacao evolved from a ceremonial drink into the confectionery that we know today.

From there, Chef Christian demonstrated three chocolate recipes, discussing tempering techniques, flavor balancing, and how small adjustments can make a drastic change in a chocolate’s taste and mouthfeel.

By the end of the workshop, the attendees were able to sample the chocolates and better grasp the possibility of crafting great chocolates that are well-loved in the market from something as raw as cacao.

Chocolate Sampling

CMV Txokolat has been in the industry for over a decade now and has since earned a reputation for refined skill and a deep respect for local cacao. With the same passion as Our Market, G.I.F.T. Culinary Arts Instructor Chef Ingrid Mediarito expressed delight in the partnership for highlighting the track’s importance and giving the students a rare opportunity to experience a top-quality workshop as a finale for the course’s calendar of events.

Sponsors’ Fair with Evian, Barilla, Ceres, Australia’s Own, Philadelphia, and Selecta

Whether the workshop or the booth was the event highlight could be confusing with the noticeably exciting atmosphere surrounding the sponsors’ fair outside the building, arising from the students and even teaching and nonteaching personnel passing by.

The presence of well-known global brands such as Evian, Barilla, Ceres, Australia’s Own, Philadelphia, and Selecta made the buzz an understandable scene—not only allowing students to receive the brands’ top products such as sparkling water, Arrabbiata sauce, orange juice, almond milk, cream cheese, and mini Magnum ice cream sticks, but also giving them a peek into established food and beverage names that operate at scale.

Sponsors’ Fair

Thanks to the trusted partnership between DTC Promos, Inc., Our Market’s company, with Federated Distributors, Inc. (FDI) and Unilever Philippines, the sponsors’ fair made a great contribution to the entire event’s success.

G.I.F.T. Culinary Arts

SPCP’s G.I.F.T. Development Program aims to nurture students’ interests and talents in specialized areas. Structured tracks, like the Culinary Arts, encourage hands-on learning and real-world exposure that welcome industry partners and platforms, helping students bridge academic training with practical experience.

The partnership initiated by Our Market prepares young individuals not only for college but also for long-term professional paths, integrating workshops, brand collaborations, and community engagement that give students the opportunity to see how classroom knowledge can become tangible opportunities.

Our Market’s outreach to a younger audience continues to build a community grounded in learning, entrepreneurship, and meaningful engagement. With two successful university visits and now a dynamic high school engagement, the momentum heading into the next leg of the tour remains strong.

DTC Promos Joins Unilever Philippines’ 2026 Agency Fair

With 32 years in the marketing industry and a 22-year partnership with one of the most renowned multinational companies in the world, DTC Promos, Inc. joined Unilever Philippines’ agency fair on January 29, 2026, to exhibit its strengths and capabilities as a marketing firm.

Held at ULP’s very own office building, located in Bonifacio Global City, the fair was organized to help agencies demonstrate their sampling capabilities to business users. ULP would eventually evaluate bids and company capabilities, favoring those that focus on quality and are considered market distributors and cost-efficient partners.

DTC Promos, Inc. at the Unilever Philippines Agency Fair

DTC secured one of the best spots near the entrance, immediately enlivening the room for visitors with a cheery welcome from the team. The booth was filled with a massive number of displays, including brand merchandise such as insulated tumblers, glass mugs, notebooks, and pens; game modules such as pachinko and prize roulette; and professionally made food samples such as Chicken Adobo, Mayo Chocolate Cake, Fried Rice, and Sushi Bake.

These displays were a huge part of DTC’s gimmick to showcase their creativity in activations. Through a fancy food display, audiences were promptly intrigued to visit and sample the selection. The Mayo Chocolate Cake took the crown for the most interesting dish: a rich, gooey chocolate cupcake topped with airy whipped cream. The name made visitors even more intrigued, but it isn’t a literal mayo chocolate cake. It’s a creative and resourceful take that uses mayonnaise as an alternative to butter. The finished product was an exhibition of innovation and a newfound use for mayonnaise.

Being the only promo company that has an in-house chef, DTC’s passion and expertise in food-related projects is one of the things it’s known for. It brought a satisfying food experience to the fair’s visitors with the help of Chef Anna Azarias.

On the left side of the booth, classic tabletop games such as pachinko and prize roulette drew quite the attention due to an interactive experience, simulating real activation mechanics often used in retail promotions. It was a test of both luck and instinct; regardless, every visitor took a prize home.

Simultaneously taking place alongside all the fun brought by the food and games were conversations between visitors from ULP and DTC’s Vice President for Operations, Richard Bayles, who walked guests through the company’s operational scale and its capability to execute nationwide activations with precision. Business users were given a closer look into how DTC builds campaigns from conceptualization to execution, supported by a structured internal system for smooth coordination across field teams, suppliers, and brand partners.

Projects with Unilever Philippines

Just like every other partnership, the long-running 22-year collaboration between DTC Promos, Inc. and Unilever Philippines started with its very first project together, dated way back to 2004: the Closeup Wow Whattamouth!, which became the Guinness Book of World Records’ holder of the largest photo mosaic billboard in the world at the time.

The big success of this project propagated to multiple others: the Lady’s Choice Christmasterpiece in 2005, an inter-town landmark-making national competition by Lady’s Choice, which tapped into the bayanihan spirit among Filipinos; the Rexona Xtreme for Men in 2006, the first-ever aerial stunt show and rock concert that built strong brand recall among young men; and the iconic Makulay ang Buhay sa Sinabawang Gulay in 2007, a campaign for Knorr, which made up every 2000s kid’s childhood and encouraged them to eat soupy veggies through a danceable song; and many more projects that strengthened the partnership even more.

ULP Staff visiting/interacting with DTC

To this day, DTC has supported Unilever brands through in-store demonstrations, roadshows, retail promotions, and consumer engagement activities that improved brand image and increased product awareness. This fair allowed the agency to present its updated capabilities and campaign innovations that align with Unilever’s evolving marketing requirements.

DTC Promos, Inc.

Founded more than three decades ago, DTC Promos, Inc. has become one of the country's leading marketing execution companies that specializes in activations, from mall events and nationwide sampling programs to retail merchandising and brand launches.

Its client roster includes multinational corporations and leading local companies in both food and non-food industries, reflecting its adaptability and expertise across product categories.
