Beauty Guru Shares a Quick Makeup Routine for Busy Moms

Leisure and personal care are often the least of a busy mom’s concerns. The New York Post reveals that nearly a third of millennial moms (29%) get less than 30 minutes to themselves during an average day,

Heather Bowcutt of KidsEmail says, “Being a mom means that sacrificing my body, my time, my finances, my sleep, and my mental health to raise my kids will be worth it in the end, because life isn’t about me anymore. I just hope my kids survive my weaknesses and realize I love them more than anything.”

With such little time, most moms divert their attention from themselves to their children instead. Conversely, prioritizing self-care is proven to be one of the greatest factors in performing the duties of a mother well. Feeling good about yourself is an underrated source of motivation.

To help those who rarely have time to take care of themselves, International Beauty Guru Dara Plan shares an easy makeup routine for busy moms to prove that feeling dolled up does not have to take too much time or effort.

The Unspoken Struggles of Mompreneurs

Quick Makeup Routine for Busy Moms

Step 1: Flawless Base

For moms, using a BB or CC cream for the face is better than using traditional foundation. Both are beneficial, but depending on your priorities, one could be better.

The difference between BB and CC cream

BB stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm. It gives sheer coverage and is much lighter on the skin compared to CC cream. Over time, it improves the skin by reducing redness, mattifying, and minimizing the look of the pores. This is recommended for moms who either do not have a lot of blemishes to cover or prioritize hydration and skincare benefits from vitamins and antioxidants.

CC, on the other hand, stands for Color Correcting or Complexion Corrector. From the name, it gives a fuller coverage and is meant to neutralize the appearance of imperfections, hiding dark spots and redness. This is the better option for those who prefer instant coverage.

Because these options are significantly thinner in formula than foundation, caking is less likely, especially when applied using fingers. This step can easily be done in under a minute, giving the skin a very natural glow and a much more even tone on the spot. Setting with face powder is completely optional.

Woman applying foundation using fingers

Beauty Guru Tip: Face the window when doing your makeup. Natural daylight shows exactly what makeup actually looks like in the real world. Artificial light alters how makeup sits on the skin in both color and texture—what may seem light and subtle indoors often turns harsh and unblended the moment you step outside.

Step 2: Curl Eyelashes

Having no sleep does not mean you have to look it; lifted lashes can instantly fake eight hours of sleep.

If your lashes are naturally straight, using an eyelash curler for less than 15 seconds can make a dramatic difference. A lash curler is really great for making you look more awake when you're going for a no-makeup look. If you can spare an extra minute, follow with one coat of mascara to lock in the lift.

Mascara alone also works beautifully, especially on mornings when every second is crucial. A single coat is enough to darken and define the lashes, giving the eyes more contrast and making them stand out without eyeliner or eyeshadow. Waterproof formulas tend to hold curl longer, particularly in the Philippine heat and humidity.

Woman curling her eyelashes and applying mascara

Beauty Guru Tip: Curl your lashes in three sections instead of clamping just once at the base. Press first at the root, then at the middle, and finally near the tips. This gives a soft, rounded curve rather than a sharp 90-degree bend. This technique mimics the natural shape of the lash and makes the eyes appear more lifted.

Step 3: Tint on Cheeks and Lips

The fastest way to look healthy and well-rested is to bring color back to the face.

A good lip and cheek tint does exactly that in less than a minute. Dot a small amount onto the apples of the cheeks and blend upward toward the temples using your fingertips. Using whatever amount is left on your fingertips, tap onto the lips for a naturally flushed look; simply add more if needed. Using one product for two areas not only saves time but also reduces clutter and makes touch-ups way easier.

Cream and gel tints are especially practical for mothers because they are highly blendable. They melt into the skin and create a finish that looks like a real flush rather than obvious makeup. This subtle wash of color takes away the paleness after restless nights, making the face appear brighter and more awake.

Woman applying lip and cheek tint

Beauty Guru Tip: Apply the multipurpose tint with your ring finger instead of your index finger. The ring finger naturally uses the lightest pressure, which helps press pigment into the skin without disturbing the base underneath. This gives you more control over the product, the color then diffuses more seamlessly to create a natural-looking flush.

Mother’s Day Date Idea: DIY Flower-Arrangement

Spoiling our mom on Mother’s Day is an annual must-do to give her a break from her seemingly inescapable day-to-day responsibilities. This typically means brunch, spa day, movies, and maybe a quick bouquet picked up on the way. But what if the flowers became the experience itself?

For this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, keep it slow, simple, and wholesome with a flower arrangement date. It has more benefits than you think, and it’s one way to keep the celebration unique and personal between you and the dearest woman in your life.

Flower Arrangement for Mother’s Day

Why Celebrate Mother’s Day with a Flower Arrangement Date?

In essence, flower arranging teaches you to slow down—something that most mothers have forgotten to do after years of juggling work, home management, raising children, and at least a bit of personal care if the time allows it.

A lot of Mother’s Day ideas often revolve around excessive relaxation where moms usually just sit, eat, or get pampered for that ultimate “day off” celebration. This isn’t bad, but it isn’t very impactful either; it will most likely wear off the following day. If not relaxation, then it’s travel or activity, which they do enjoy but barely get the physical rest they might actually need.

Unlike these, flower-arranging gives moms something to do just enough for both relaxation and mind stimulation. This gives them time for themselves to ponder and a space that feels light and feminine.

As a date, flower-arranging creates room—room for conversation, for small jokes, for those random stories that come out when hands are busy and minds are relaxed. And unlike a typical day out, there’s no rush to finish. You move at your own pace. If it takes longer, that’s fine. If you pause halfway to talk, even better.

Here are 5 reasons to take up flower-arranging

Flowers are a natural stress reliever and mood booster

According to a behavioral research study, “Home Ecology of Flowers” by Nancy Etcoff, Ph.D., of Harvard Medical School, people who have fresh-cut flowers at home feel kinder and more compassionate toward others, more enthusiastic and energetic at work, and feel less worried, anxious, and depressed. The presence of flowers alone eliminates negative feelings. Reports from the same study stated that participants wanted to see flowers first thing in the morning, placing them in areas where they usually are, like the kitchen and the living room.

“As a psychologist, I’m particularly intrigued to find that people who live with flowers report fewer episodes of anxiety and depressed feelings,” Etcoff says. “Our results suggest that flowers have a positive impact on our well-being.”

Learning flower arrangement improves creativity

Improved creativity, despite how niche it sounds, is also key to enhancing problem-solving skills, increasing adaptability, and improving cognitive function. For moms who have to be constantly active and alert, engaging in simple activities like this is especially beneficial. Every step of flower arranging reinforces focus; you tap into artistic instincts many people don’t get to use often. You start noticing the little details, like how textures contrast, how colors complement each other, and how different-sized flowers create harmony. These small things allow one to rediscover themself and their inclination to certain designs, as well as to build confidence in their choices. Basic Flower Arrangement classes guide you through these, so you don’t only create by-the-book gorgeous pieces, but also something that has a personal touch.

Flowers are a natural aromatherapy

According to the Cleveland Clinic, aromatherapy stimulates the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves). Essential oils are popular for this reason. Special cells in the nose (called olfactory receptors) inhale its molecules and send messages to the brain. These messages stimulate activity in the brain which then releases hormones like serotonin, endorphins, and dopamine. These hormones help regulate body functions like mood, sleep, and digestion. The release of these hormones helps lower anxiety and reduce the perception of pain.

Flowers are basically unprocessed essential oils. Arranging flowers means getting deep inhales of the natural sources of these oils. When you work with roses, lavenders, or jasmine, you benefit from their aromatherapeutic benefits.

Person smelling flowers

Flower arrangement is an opportunity for self-expression

Just like every other art, creating provides an outlet for self-expression. Using the same materials and pieces, there are countless ways to arrange flowers. Your choice of colors and flower types conveys feelings, especially if associated with the language of flowers. How you come up with a design is a direct reflection of your unique stories, personality, and artistic potential.

For moms who are often at a loss for words for expressing themselves, or have those days when thoughts and feelings are kept inside, flower-arranging is a subtle and quiet way to let them out.

Language of Flowers

Working with flowers allows connection with nature

Psychological research from the American Psychological Association proves that exposure to nature triggers a physiological response that lowers stress levels. There’s also the attention restoration theory, which holds that nature replenishes cognitive resources and restores the ability to concentrate and pay attention. According to Lisa Nisbet, PhD, a psychologist at Trent University in Ontario, Canada, who studies connectedness to nature, “Stress reduction and attention restoration are related.”

With flower-arranging, it is no longer necessary to take time to step outside to get some sun and souch some grass. You can do it at home—comfy, homey, and familiar.

Florist working on a laptop

Understanding flowers, what flowers are in season or what climate the flowers thrive in, deepens your connection with nature. As you work with flowers, you naturally become more observant, like paying more attention to the details of the flowers: the delicate texture of the petals, the elegance of their stems, and even the direction the flowers grow in as it leans towards the light. These observations inspire you to incorporate nature’s rhythms into your design, creating arrangements that are truly in harmony with the natural world.

How sure are we that Mom is going to like this idea?

All women like flowers, even those who say they don’t or that it’s a waste of money—they don’t have to be enthusiastic about it. What’s guaranteed is that every loving mom would appreciate the idea of spending time with their child.

One of the best things about flower arranging is how easy it is to revisit. After Mother’s Day, it can turn into a hobby you share—the beginning of a tradition that you both return to during weekends or special occasions.

Realistic Weekend Reset Ideas for a Lighter Week Ahead

Not many people realize how much of a luxury it is to maintain a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle throughout five full workdays of stress. The routine has become normalized, but realistically, two days off are often not enough.

But if the workload does not slow down, there are many ways to use the weekend more intentionally. There are ways to do a reset that make the coming days feel lighter and more manageable.

Filipino Food Table

A health news article by The Times of India quoted a statement by Dr. Sunil Rana of the Asian Hospital: “People think that they can make their health better over the weekend after a week of stress and not eating well. The human body does not work like that. It is not like a switch that you can turn on and off.”

However, the system has already wired us to come up with our own coping strategies, causing us to compensate by doing things we do not get to do much during the weekdays, like staying up late for that little bit of free time and then oversleeping. It feels rewarding at first, but it does more harm than good.

A study from the National Library of Medicine shows that many students build up significant sleep debt during the school week, but whether this sleep loss can be “recovered” on weekends remains unclear. However, longer sleep on those days suggests a rebound effect as adolescents try to catch up. With fewer external pressures, they also tend to sleep and wake later as influenced by natural body rhythms. Overall, teens usually sleep less and earlier on school nights, then shift to longer and later sleep on weekends.

Imagine the situation for adults—who work longer hours, comply to more stressful matters, and deal with multiple other responsibilities outside of work, such as raising children, handling finances, probably even a second or third job, or more.

For many, fitting rest and responsibilities into 48 hours feels like a tight squeeze. It may not be perfect, but small, intentional resets can still make a difference without sacrificing one for the other. A weekend reset does not need to look like a full life overhaul (especially with how social media displays it). It can be quiet and built around what actually fits your energy and lifestyle.

Realistic Weekend Reset Ideas

Clean Your Home

There’s a quote going around saying, “'A person's house is a reflection of their state of mind.” This is relatable to many, because when the mind is cluttered, you tend to lose the will to move and the mess just continues to build up.

Research on the correlation between cleaning and mental health suggests that it can act as a powerful mental reset. A jumbled space can increase stress, reduce focus, and leave people feeling overwhelmed, while tidying up gives you a sense of control—resulting in internal calm.

Person Home-decluttering

Prep Your Meals

Meal prepping might sound a little intense; bulk shopping in the morning, chopping a week’s or even a whole month’s worth of ingredients, cooking, and then trying to make all of them fit in the fridge. While it requires a 2–4 hour time investment on weekends, it eliminates daily decision-making, cooking, and cleaning, with many users reporting saving 5–10+ hours a week. You can use these hours already to complete other tasks instead, or relax in bed a whole hour earlier.

Person Meal-prepping

Another benefit of meal prepping is that it prevents unhealthy consumption from preserved food items which we tend to get when in a rush. You get to plan your meals for a more nutritious lifestyle.

One of the top misconceptions about meal prepping is that it is bland and boring, but it really is your choice of ingredients and recipes that gives variety to your upcoming meals. When you’re at the grocery store, tailor what you’re buying to fit meals you’d actually want to eat. Try something saucy and savory like smothered pork chops or delicious glazed hams for more flexible pairing. You can also never go wrong with different soup dishes to pair with all kinds of bread for a light yet hearty meal; they are the easiest to reheat, too!

Instead of bread, you can also pair your soup with sandwiches for a much tastier and more filling meal. Rodney Martinez’s Soups and Sandwiches class at The Bailiwick Academy shares 7 exclusive recipes of bánh mì, chunky corned beef sandwich, bread bowl, pumpkin soup, tomato soup, corn and potato chowder, and two bonus recipes: Monte Cristo Sandwich and Simple Salad with Vinaigrette to complete your soups and sandwich lineup.

Take Yourself Out on a Date

Many people overlook how spending time alone out of their comfort zone can refresh the mind. It yanks you out of a space so familiar that it stops stimulating your brain. Forget your bed, your desk, your kitchen; they feel safe, but they aren’t good for too long.

Go to a quiet café, a bookstore, or even a solo movie date—it can create a sense of space that is hard to find during the week. Even pondering about nothing or people-watching can be enough to reset your mood. It gives you room to reflect and mentally prepare for the week ahead without the pressure of being productive.

Person Solo-dining

Do Some Light Exercise

As relaxing as it sounds to lounge on the couch and watch Netflix for your entire day off, it isn’t very recommended. Studies referenced by Mayo Clinic found that people who sat for more than eight hours a day with no physical activity had a risk of dying similar to the risk posed by obesity and smoking. But 60 to 75 minutes of moderate aerobic physical activity a day offset the effects of too much sitting.

If you’re working a desk job, you are already sitting eight hours a day five times a week. You wouldn’t want to stretch this practice out further to the weekend and risk your health, both physical and mental, even more.

Stretching, yoga, or a relaxed walk helps release built-up tension in the body. It can also improve circulation and support better sleep, which many people struggle to maintain during busy weeks. Just make sure to be active in ways that feel sustainable, something you can look forward to repeating and not something that feels like another task to complete.

Person stretching

Weekends may never feel long enough to fix everything, but it’s in your hands to utilize them. Still, no one knows you better than yourself. If you know certain activities that will make the upcoming week a lot more bearable and lighter for you, you have all the freedom to choose them.

What’s a weekend reset idea you swear by? Share with us in the comments!

with Food Allergies: Tips and Recos

Food allergies occur when the immune system reacts negatively to a food protein, leading to symptoms that range from mild discomfort, such as itching, to life-threatening reactions like anaphylaxis. In the Philippines, population surveys show that food allergies affect a noticeable portion of Filipinos, with shellfish such as shrimp, crab, and mussels being among the most common triggers in older children and adults.

Studies referenced by the National Nutrition Council of the Philippine Department of Health, prevalence rates of food allergies in teenagers in the Philippines are at 5.12%. In America, food allergies affect 32 million people, including 5.6 million children. Reactions to allergens send nearly 200,000 people to emergency rooms each year; this is why food allergies need to be taken more seriously.

How to Host People with Food Allergies

When organizing some sort of get-together event like a dinner party or neighborhood brunch, food preferences should not be the first thing you consider, but possible food allergies, especially when it’s going to happen with people who aren’t beyond acquaintances.

Taking into account the serious effects of food allergies, you wouldn’t want to risk your guests’ health and safety for the sake of having an “easy” gathering. So here are tips on how to host people with allergies.

Ask first. Ask nicely. Ask early.

Sounds basic, but it’s often skipped. A quick text like, “Hey, any allergies I should know about?” not only gathers info, but also shows that you care. It’s even better to ask before starting preparations. That way, you can map out the dishes you’ll make and the ingredients you’ll buy. Some will say they’re fine. Others will give you a full list: peanuts, shellfish, dairy, gluten, eggs… the works. Occasionally, someone will give you a heads-up about cross-contamination or tell you it’s life-or-death serious. It’s better to go through a tedious cooking process than accidentally send someone to the ER. Needless to say, coming up with the idea of hosting a gathering should already mean you care enough about the guests that attending to their food allergies is more of a pleasure than a struggle.

Plan the menu

Ensuring food safety for your guests doesn’t mean ten different dishes for ten different guests; thinking in layers is the strategy. Start with naturally safe bases like grilled meat, roasted veggies, fresh fruit, or rice dishes. Then, let the toppings and sauces be optional—maybe a pasta bar with separate sauces, a taco setup with clearly divided fillings, or desserts that are labeled and separated. That way, you give options without reinventing the wheel.

You can also always substitute ingredients to make your allery-friendly food. This can be a bit tricky because you might be substituting something, but compromising the taste in return. Ingredient substitutions aren’t always black and white.

To guarantee, it’s best to consult a professional and seek advice on the best substitutes to use. Cooking classes at The Bailiwick Academy not only offers recipes but are also made up of professional chefs who are open to answering any questions you may have.

Recipe development

Labels on everything

Ever been at a buffet guessing what’s inside every food item? It’s already stressful as it is; now imagine doing it with an allergy. Absolute nightmare. It’s like your life is at stake; you wouldn’t want your guests feeling this.

Simply putting labels like “Contains nuts,” “Dairy-free,” or “Gluten-free” is already a huge help in reducing the stress. Not only will guests feel safe, but you will also save yourself from the energy of answering food allergy-related questions.

Be cautious of cross-contamination

Being wary of cross-contamination doesn’t mean you’re being ridiculously meticulous for no reason. Even if a dish doesn’t have peanuts or shellfish, it can still be risky if it touches the wrong surface or utensil. Prep allergy-safe dishes first, and keep the high-risk ingredients in their own corner. Use separate everything—cutting boards, knives, and spoons—just be aware and you’ll be fine.

Color-coded chopping boards

Buy from the store

Stores don’t just randomly put products on their shelf without a filtering process. A package with a clear allergen label can actually be safer than a homemade version. Plate it nicely, add a garnish—just put in a little effort and it’ll feel just as warm as something you made yourself. You’d rather be safe and make your friends feel comfortable than risk it.

Have a backup plan

Guests with severe allergies often bring their own medicine, but if worse comes to worst, having a backup plan will always save you. Stock up on antihistamines, have emergency contacts ready, and keep a small, clear space for someone to step aside if needed.

taking care of someone with allergies

Food allergy is a real concern for many Filipino families and friends who gather around feasts during fiestas, holidays, and everyday celebrations. This is why thoughtful planning and awareness are important to ensure your guests feel comfortable and safe at your table.

Fun Picnic Activities to Try This Summer

A picnic is interesting because there’s a whole bunch of activities you can do. You might be here because you’re either unsure of them, or are being intentional with the event—and that’s good! This list of picnic date ideas will surely make your time a fun, lively, and memorable one.

Make Your Own Goodies

There’s nothing else that will give your picnic a personalized touch than bringing something you made yourself. Sure, you can buy typical take-out picnic food like pizza, salads, or barbecue skewers, but knowing you’re sharing food you spent time and energy on with your loved ones already makes the picnic much more special.

This can be a bit intimidating to kitchen beginners, and you probably wouldn’t like being late to the picnic only to bring burnt cookies, but truthfully, all it requires is a good cooking tutorial and you’d have no room for mistakes. Try something easy and tasty yet cute enough for those aesthetic picnic photos you’d like to post on your Instagram story, like chocolate cookie truffles!

No need to experiment, you can easily learn how to make chocolate cookie truffles with this online baking class by Professional Chef Chona Laureta. In this online culinary class, you get a downloadable recipe workbook and playable video tutorial anytime so you can rewatch and make adjustments to your liking. For only ₱999, you get to bring decadent desserts that don’t taste like it’s your first time making them! Well, ₱499 actually, if it’s your first course purchase *wink*.

Card Games and Quick Board Games

What better accompaniment for your picnic finger food than a good card game? They are simple and energy-saving but they bring out your fun, competitive side. They are also practical to bring to a picnic where you don’t want to carry too much and save as much space as possible. Whip out your UNO cards and race to the finish line of Snakes and Ladders, and maybe test the strength of your relationship with your loved ones!

Storytelling or Casual Sharing Circle

For the most part, picnics are organized to catch up, spend quality time, and strengthen bonds. Sharing a recent event or even a trivial life discovery with your family and friends is important to growing relationships. You can even prompt the discussion with a game of Never Have I Ever or Truth or Dare to make it more interesting! From there, watch the conversation go deeper and deeper and you’ll feel fulfilled about having such a meaningful time together.

Jamming Session

Got musicians or singers in the group? It doesn’t matter if you’re out of tune, having passion is enough for a great picnic filled with music. You can play a guitar, make out some tunes out of a flute, or even do a basic pen tapping beat using your EDC pen and now-empty charcuterie board. If you’ve got a portable karaoke machine (*cough* Filipinos *cough*), that works too. Just keep it low and make sure you aren’t bothering anyone!

Picnic jamming/music session

Play Frisbee

Being on a picnic doesn’t mean sitting around on a mat the entire day. Somehow, you got to help your body digest all the food you enjoyed earlier. Frisbee is a very timeless and no-brainer sport—one disk and you’re entertained for hours. If you’re not into frisbee, don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be frisbee! Bring your decade-old badminton racket, or maybe a borrowed volleyball from your cousin on the school sports team, whatever it is. Remember, light movement keeps the energy up.

Mini Photoshoot with the Picnic Setup

Memory may fail in remembering the past, but photos won’t! Make sure to capture the moment—the place, the laughter, the outfits, and the food you once shared together. Aside from keeping memories, your social media feed will also benefit from it. Pretend to be an influencer and show off those cute posing skills. So many freshly baked goodies and game items to use as props!

Acai Berry: Health Benefits and Why It’s Trending

Trends usually fade once curiosity disappears, so if one doesn’t fade, it isn’t simply a trend but something deeper within that deserves recognition and real-life application—like the acai berry!

Surely, you see acai berries all over social media, taken by some health guru filming their everyday routine. You may have even seen them in different forms: acai bowl, acai berry juice mixed with yogurt and oats, and even as salad dressing.

Acai berries are so special that they have built an incomparably larger fan base than other berries.

Acai Berries

Why Acai Berry is Popular

Acai berry is known to surpass other antioxidant-rich fruits such as cranberries, pomegranate, and even blueberries. Other than antioxidants, a nutrition profile recorded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) verifies that 100 grams of frozen acai puree contains two to three grams more fiber than raw blueberries of the same quantity. It also contains heart-healthy fats and is extremely low in sugar.

But the popularity of acai berry goes beyond health benefits; a large factor in it is convenience. Acai berry is now retailed in the form of a capsule, tea bag, and powder. This makes an on-the-go product that’s easy to fit into daily routines to boost health inside and out. Thanks to this, adding nutrients through a drink feels effortless compared to juggling multiple supplements. Just goes to show how convenience makes up many wellness decisions today.

A glass being filled with IAM Amazing Acai Berry Powder Pack

Health Benefits of Acai Berry

Now that you know the nutrients found in acai berries, the next thing is to learn how these nutrients reflect in the body when consumed.

Boosts Skin Health

Sometimes, glowing skin cannot be achieved through topical products; it often reflects what is happening inside the body. Think about that the next time you get a pimple—before hating on it, know that it’s really just trying to tell you to take better care of your inner health.

Because of its high antioxidant content, particularly anthocyanins, acai berry boosts skin health by fighting oxidative stress caused by pollution, UV exposure, and daily environmental toxins. The more days we live, the more our bodies are exposed to these. Being aware makes food with nutrient-dense ingredients like acai a nutritional ally against those daily stressors.

Healthy fats, on the other hand, including omega-9 and omega-6 fatty acids, are also helpful in supporting the skin barrier—helping retain moisture and reduce dryness. Maintain consistent intake and watch your complexion get smoother and more supple.

While acai berry is not a substitute for proper skincare, combining it with a balanced diet can result in skin wellness from within. This inside-out approach is one of the things that makes long-term results more visible and sustainable.

Improves Brain Function

As we grow old, we realize that mental clarity is just as important as physical strength. The plant compounds in acai berry support cognitive performance and brain health, while antioxidants help protect brain cells from oxidative damage associated with memory decline and age-related cognitive issues. Protecting these cells triggers sharper thinking and better focus over time.

A Healthline article states that one of the things that keeps the brain healthy is through a process, known as autophagy, which cleans up cells that are toxic or no longer working. It makes way for new nerves to form, enhancing communication between brain cells.

This process works less efficiently as we age. But in lab tests, acai extract has helped stimulate this “housekeeping” response in brain cells.

One of the best ways to take advantage of this is by taking acai berries as breakfast for sustained energy and mental alertness.

Lowers Risk of Chronic Diseases

Chronic diseases are unfortunately sneaky; they typically develop slowly, progress gradually, and may not show obvious symptoms until they are advanced. The key prevention method is diet.

The thing about oxidative stress is that they do not only affect skin health, but are also linked to heart diseases, diabetes, and certain inflammatory conditions. With high amounts of antioxidants, acai berry is capable of reducing cellular damage.

Other than antioxidants, the fiber in acai berries promotes healthy digestion and regulates blood sugar levels. Stable blood sugar reduces strain on the body and may lower the risk of developing metabolic disorders. Acai berry is also naturally low in sugar compared to many fruits, which makes it a good option if you’re monitoring glucose intake.

Many would be taken aback by the fat content of acai berries, especially if compared to other berries. It contains about 5-6 grams while blueberries contain zero. But it’s important to note that the fats in acai berry are specifically heart-healthy fats that support healthy cholesterol levels. When you add acai berry to a balanced diet and an active lifestyle, you already have a preventive nutrition strategy.

As mentioned earlier, acai berry is surprisingly high in dietary fiber, especially if compared to other berries. This contributes to a better metabolism and helps promote nutrient absorption, immune function, and regular bowel movements.

When digestion runs smoothly, the body can process nutrients more efficiently, allowing vitamins and minerals to be utilized properly. This translates into more consistent energy levels throughout the day while feeling lighter and less bloated.

Where to Buy Acai Berry Juice

Taking acai berry in a juice form is an effective way to allow the nutrients to be absorbed faster. Due to the trend, many acai berry juice products have found their way into the market today. However, not all acai berry products carry the same formulation.

If you’re looking for one that stands out, the Amazing Acai Berry Extract from IAM combines the benefits of acai berry extract, marine collagen, and Bacopa Monnieri in one drink.
